Most dither components fail on low-contrast photography. Dither Engine runs an auto-levels pass first, stretching the histogram before quantising, so mid-grey source material still reads.
Both ordered Bayer matrices and Floyd-Steinberg error diffusion are available, with ink and paper colours exposed as tokens so the output matches your palette rather than defaulting to black on white.
